Exciting New Features Coming to Rocket in August!

Get an inside scoop on the latest Rocket features!

We are so thrilled to introduce several brand-new features to our software this August! We’re excited to share these updates with you and can’t wait to hear your feedback.

Media Gallery Layout

Our new Media Gallery Layout is here and we could not be more excited! This profile layout allows you to create visually stunning galleries, showcasing your photos and videos directly on your Digital Wall of Honor. It’s a perfect way to present your multimedia content in an organized and engaging manner.

Pintura Image Editor

We’re also introducing the Pintura Image Editor this month. This feature lets you edit and crop photos quick and easily-no photo editing skills are required! It’s a seamless addition to Rocket, making your experience even more user-friendly.

Embeddable Widget

You have always been able to link your Rocket site on any website, we’re now taking it a step further with our new Embeddable Widget. This feature allows you to display your Rocket content directly on your school or organization’s website. It’s a fantastic way to showcase the hard work you’ve put into your Rocket site across other platforms in your community.

For example, Marin Catholic is using this new tool to display their athletic records and Hall of Fame directly on their athletics page. Visitors can browse all the information from their Rocket site without leaving the school’s website.

Similarly, the Academic All-America Team has embedded a widget in their article on Academic All-Americans at the Paris Olympics, offering readers additional in-depth information about the athletes who participated in the 2024 games.

Make your Rocket site more visible by embedding it in various websites throughout your school or organization!

Rocket Cast

One of the most significant additions to Rocket is a new feature we are testing called Rocket Cast. Rocket Cast pulls content from your site and allows you to display it on non-touch screen TVs, so you can engage your audience across multiple locations with automated and dynamic content.

Let’s take a look at the key features that come with Rocket Cast:

Web-Based Control: Users are able to control and assign content to TVs through their school’s unique Rocket site URL remotely.

Dynamic Display Templates: Although audiences might not be able to interact with these screens, we want to keep your information pleasing and captivating. Therefore, we plan for the content to be automatically formatted with eye-catching templates that include animations and multimedia elements.

Flexible Content Management: We want to keep our solution user-friendly and this update reflects that! Users can simply select the exact content they want to display and designate it to a specific screen. This way, institutions can highlight various information across numerous screens.

Screen Management: No additional website will be required when controlling the non-touch screens. Users can go through their original Rocket site to handle things like the content looping, display timing, and transitions.

Interested in Rocket Cast? Let us know! We are looking for 5 more schools to be part of our testing phase and give feedback!

We are incredibly excited to be adding these features to Rocket. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do and we look forward to hearing your feedback!
